About Ryan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play at my own pace and can score from anywhere on the court. Being a good outside shooter opens opprtunites for me to drive and score at the rim or off of pull up jumpers. I also love to go to the boards and score off offensive rebounds. On defense I move my feet well and thrive on blocking shots. I've become a good shot blocker because of my ability to move my feet and my jumping ability.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I stay on an even keel, not too high or low. I hate losing.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, at my local church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've become a leader on my team as the leading scorer and rebounder. I talk on the court and lead by example, always playing hard.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The summer after my sophomore year I didn't get to play much AAU ball. It really hurt me in terms of exposure. I was having severe pain in my shins and was diagnosed with Osgood Schlatters. I had to sit out 8 weeks so that pretty much killed my AAU season and had to cancel plans to attend camps, including Prep Hoops events. Emotionally it was hard but all I could do was stay positive.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to go to where I can play and contribute.

Ryan Robertson proved to be tough shot-maker who knocked down jumpers both on the move and in rhythm, regardless of coverage. Whether it was a tight contest or a clean look, he remained a lethal perimeter threat, especially in the slot and above the break areas. His compact release allowed him to shoot over closeouts with minimal space, making him a difficult cover in any ball movement-heavy offense.
