Ryan Clair Ryan Clair 6'6" | PF Kuemper Catholic | 2026 State IA displayed his combination of elite size and skill throughout this game. He went to work in the post and punished defenders. His footwork stood out; he was able to spin and bump defenders, throwing off their timing and opening open angles for him to score over the defense. He was great at using his frame to shield off defenders, and he embraced contact on every post touch. He was especially great at using pump fakes to draw fouls and open lanes for himself to the rim. His threat as a post scorer made every pump fake he threw up very deadly and hard to stay down on. He converted and-1s and drew a heap of fouls in the lane due to this skill. He also drained a three from downtown and was very impactful as a pick-and-pop big man. Overall, he was a constant force on the glass, bringing down many rebounds and finishing put-backs. Defensively, he was a monster in the post. He constantly pushed opponents trying to post up way out of the paint and contested many shots. He was a very switchable defender in this game and was the anchor for Kuemper Catholic’s defense.
