One of my favorite guards in Class 5A on a new team, Parker Berns Parker Berns 6'2" | PG/SG Cedar Falls | 2026 State IA remains all the things that he showed at the Prep Hoops Expo this fall.

A never too high, never too low guard that plays with consistent effort, good defense, solid ball-handling, the ability to score from the perimeter and at the rim, and just another threat on a team full of them for Cedar Falls, the addition for Berns could be the difference between contending with the Des Moines schools for a state championship and winning one.

It’s still early in the season and Berns is continuing to feel out what his role is with his new team after transferring from Waterloo West, but the fit doesn’t feel clunky or forced at all.
