Garcia-Araujo is a skilled, inside-out forward that could help the vast majority of college programs. Constant double-double threat, physical around the basket. He operates extremely well out of the high post where he can get to the rim or knock down 15-footers consistently.

Osmar was a one-man wrecking crew in the first half. The polished bully-ball point-forward scored 18 points in the opening 16 minutes and finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks as Lanier pulled away from South Paulding 67-55. He’s a vocal presence on the floor, directing teammates where to go. He has elite hands and is a powerful low block scorer that plucks rebounds and finishes inside. Osmar has a soft touch around the rim and can get downhill as he uses his strength and tight handle to beat opponents to the hoop. Garcia has comfortable footwork in the pivot and seals extremely well. His vision as a playmaker is impressive. After the game, he stuck around to personally tell each South Paulding player good game as they came out of the locker room. The only thing holding back Osmar’s stock is his lack of leaping ability. Everything else grades him as one of Georgia’s elite forwards. He should be on Mid-Major radars.

Osmar Garcia-Araujo is a popular name right now, being one of Georgia’s top players left on the board. He can play inside or out and offers a lot of positional versatility on both ends. Good ball-handler and impressive passing ability. Consistent mid-range game as well. He would be a big-time pickup for a lot of LM or high-level D2 programs.

Osmar is elite. What he does on the floor as a true point-forward is nothing short of admirable. He’s one of the most fun players to watch in the state and is so without having to play above the rim. He’s strong as a bull and is always in control. The offense runs through him as a facilitator. He has great footwork in the low post, combining power with finesse as he can hit turnaround jumpers when he’s not overpowering opponents. The only knock on Garcia is his lack of perceived leaping ability, but everything else about his game screams high level D-I. The polished do-everything forward tallied 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 1 block in a 67-61 win over Collins Hill.
