Expert Analysis
Cam Rickers | Prep Hoops Scout
Nathaniel chose to run with Team Curry this spring which proved to be a smart move as Nathaniel has shined in his role and drawn some high-major looks. He’s 6’9, very athletic and mobile. Great on the boards, can stretch the floor with his shooting, and capable of scoring in either post. Recent offers include Cincinnati, Murray State, and Lehigh.

has shown consistent improvement over the past couple years but is still scratching the surface of his ultimate potential. Nathaniel is 6’8 with an impressive wingspan and a whole lot of bounce. He’s a consistent lob threat and has great body control in the air. He’s shown the ability to step out and knock down the open three-ball as well.

Up from No. 14rnHigh Major programs are rightfully after Nathaniel. He has developed such a smooth game on the perimeter. He’s got a pretty outside shot, able to create off the dribble and shoot the three over defenders. Jayce is a fluid athlete that plays well in transition. In the half court, Nathaniel is still capable of going down low, scoring with turnaround jumpers out of the post or with his back to the basket. He’s a major mismatch.

Jayce provided 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Nathaniel did a bulk of his damage on the perimeter, hitting a pair of threes and scoring on two cuts. When Jayce went to the block, he was an effective post passer finding cutters. Nathaniel has serious upside and is really becoming a full-time wing. He’s a smooth shooter off the dribble and still maintains the ability to impact games defensively with his shot blocking.

. What makes the duo so special is how well-rounded their games are. They both do serious damage inside and out, Nathaniel as a scorer on the perimeter while Garcia is a passer. Jayce has improved each and every year. He continues to transition more and more into becoming a true wing. At 6-foot-8, Jayce can score tough baskets inside, but he has now fully integrated his guard skills, hitting pull-up threes off the dribble with a smooth stroke. He finished with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 1 block vs. Collins Hill. Jayce has a projectable frame that will surely add tons of muscle in college. With a great skill set and a terrific physical tools, it would be hard to imagine Nathaniel not ending up at a High Major.
