Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Allersted, a wing out of Bridgton Academy in Maine, checks in at #21 among the small forwards and #103 overall. The 6’4″ wing is a really intriguing prospect; he has a college ready frame, can operate as a secondary ball-handler in the half-court, and has some sneaky athleticism. He does a nice job of getting to his spots off the bounce, shows good touch and feel as a passer, and is capable of creating his own shot late in the clock. On the other end of the floor, he uses his strength to rebound in traffic and also does a nice job of moving laterally to keep the ball in front of him on the perimeter. Allersted has yet to announce his future plans.

Allersted wasn’t a guy I knew too much about previously, but he showed me a lot in Bridgton’s loss against New Hampton on Wednesday. The senior wing is 6-foot-4, but he appears a LOT bigger because of his length, athleticism and frame, and he operates like a forward. He has a phenomenal motor, which he uses to attack the offensive glass and hunt down rebounds, but he also has solid touch around the rim with both hands. Defensively, he can guard all 5 positions because of his strength and speed, and he slides his feet like a madman. Allersted also made a couple really nice passes and can probably do more offensively with more responsibility. Very intriguing player.
