Goodspeed is one of the more dangerous perimeter scorers in the conference and a huge piece of Golden’s talented trio. He averaged 14.6 points while shooting 37% from deep as a junior, but the numbers don’t fully capture how quickly he can take over a game. This year he has to make sure they lead to wins. We saw him erupt for 31, 28, and 24 points in separate outings a season ago, showing that he can carry the offense when defenses shift their attention elsewhere. He’s a microwave scorer who doesn’t need much room to get comfortable and puts himself in positions to score. Entering his senior year, we’d like to see him become even more assertive while continuing to improve his shot selection. Goodspeed has a chance to prove he’s one of the state’s more underrated offensive weapons and I think he should be on more radars in a month or so. He’s a name to know.

Godspeed is a player who feels like he has been around for quite some time, and this past year, he put his name out there even more as he was one of the focal points for Golden. He put up 14.6 points a game; they put the ball in his hands and trusted him to be able to put up some big scoring games. He was a double-figure machine, shot the 3-ball extremely well as he moves off the ball, and got out in the open court and scored. Godspeed is a player who could be a defensive menace if he locked in on that end of the floor as he plays the passing lanes well and should be on a bit more radars heading into an important Senior season. He’s worth following.

He didn’t just settle from behind the are he attacked with sharp movement and strong drives that created constant pressure inside. On the defensive end his relentless press disrupted rhythm, forced turnovers and created the kind of chaos that swung momentum at times

Golden has been a force to be reckoned with to start the season and is a team looking like contenders. They appear to be a complete team, and their guard play has been what’s separating them. 6’1 combo guard Nick Goodspeed Nick Goodspeed 6'1" | SG/CG Golden | 2027 State CO has been one of their biggest difference-makers. He’s up to 13.5 points and has erupted for some big games. He’s helped push them out to an 8-2 record and looks very comfortable this season as a 3-level scorer. He finishes around the basket, spaces the floor as he has 22 3-pointers on the season, and has been a two-way force. He makes a jump from the watch list to the rankings and will look to rise. We like what we’ve seen from Goodspeed.
