About Nasir

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a pass first point guard that can score at all three levels. I am a lockdown defender that averages a lot of steals. I will finish my H.S. Career in the 1000 point club.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with a lot of passion and I give everything I can to help the team. I am a hard worker and I don’t expect things to be given to me. I know I have to put in the work on and off the court to be the best person/ player I can be. I just want to keep growing as a person and as a player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National honor society award

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been a member of the junior honor society at Sankofa since 4th grade until present. I work on my game and train outside of the scheduled practices. I have done community out reach by speaking at pep rally’s, city council meetings, and I was featured on NBC10 as well, trying to encourage our city leaders to do more to actually make an impact on gun violence.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes my several of my friends passed away to due to gun violence in Philadelphia. My brother is in prison due to bad choices he made. I myself was almost a victim to gun violence, but I was lucky to have my dad step in to help me out of it.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any school that can give me an academic scholarship and an athletic scholarship because my parent ls can barely afford to survive.
