About Michael

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile guard who can play with the ball and off the ball. My biggest strength is my shooting ability, able to consistently make 3 point shots off the dribble or catch and shoot with unlimited range. I’m someone the other team needs to guard as soon as we pass half court. I’m a vocal leader on the court

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I like to hype up my teammates and always play with great emotion & spirit. I welcome pressure and want the ball when the game is on the line.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m on the Eagan Golf Team and work at the Golf Course washing golf carts and picking up golf balls.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve had the spot light on me my entire High School career as the son of the Varsity coach. I’ve had to deal with a lot of comments both on & off the court. It’s taught me to focus and handle my emotions on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open to any and all opportunities

McKenize made two of his 3-pointers of half-court set plays utilizing screen motion. The other 3-pointers teammates found him on kick outs where he was ready to fire away from the perimeter.
