The lefty Hamrick got valuable experience starting for Walnut Ridge as a freshman as the Scots were once again one of the top teams in the Columbus City League. An impressive athlete who can play above the rim, Hamrick Jr can throw it down in transition. I was also impressed with his advanced passing ability for his age when I saw Walnut Ridge this season. With Hamrick Jr and Deon Johnson Deon Johnson Deon Johnson 6'3" | PG Walnut Ridge | 2027 State OH , Walnut Ridge has a great young backcourt to build around for the next couple of seasons.

Hamrick has a super high ceiling because his skillset and quickness are something you can’t find in many. He is an incredibly shifty player that is hard to stay in front of. He has a tight handle on the ball that can get you memorized while watching him. He is a young player and still makes young mistakes because he is so skilled and can do a lot with the ball in his hands. He will need to clean up these mistakes as he gets older, but he will be someone who will be recruited well as he gets older.
