Matthew is a long 6’3 wing with fluid athleticism that allows him to weave in-and-out of defenders as he attacks the basket. Just seems to glide effortlessly at times as he’s so smooth driving to the rim. Had a play in the second half where he stole the ball down in the corner and used his speed to beat everyone across the length of the floor for two points, before running back on defense to block a shot and once again go coast-to-coast to finish. Nice potential moving forward with his combination of length and athleticism at 6’3.

Matthew Leise Matthew Leise 6'3" | SF/PG Rochester Lourdes | 2029 MN – Leise is a six-foot-one-inch 2029 guard from Rochester Lourdes that showed tough rebounding on the offensive glass. Leise seemed to have open court vision well enough to grab and go with the ball and has a bit of ball handling ability.

Although maybe not a true “post” player, Matthew stepped up for a team that didn’t feature a ton of size, and was one of the scrappier rebounders I saw on the day. He was constantly battling against forwards 2-3 inches taller than him, and often times was able to secure possession of missed shots in his area. Did a great job of attacking the ball with two hands, ripping it, and then looking for an outlet pass to one of his guards. Showed the touch to finish with either hand around the basket.
