He dictates the pace and shows patience in every aspect of the game. An aggressive downhill driver with a slim frame, his long arms allow for a variety of finishes at the rim. He can also stretch the floor, making him a versatile offensive threat who can impact the game in multiple ways.

He is a high-IQ scorer with the ability to knock down shots at all three levels, showing poise and patience in how he picks his spots. Collins has a strong understanding of mismatches and isn’t afraid to attack bigger defenders, frequently getting downhill and earning trips to the charity stripe.

Beyond his scoring ability, Collins brings toughness and effort on the glass. He willingly mixes it up with bigger players and has already recorded multiple double-digit rebounding performances early in the season. He had a good showing at the UGA Team Camp both days, including one game where he had over 30 points. Going into this weekend he’s consistently scoring around 14-18ppg and he’s had multiple 20+ point games in the process. Matthew is a skilled ball-handler, a good passer, has good court vision, and can knock down 3’s in bunches. Matthew’s confidence on the court will ultimately determine how well he plays, but the skill is definitely there. Don’t be surprised if he ends up turning a few heads this weekend.
