About Asher
Expert Analysis
Davis McCarn | Prep Hoops Scout
Shepard was one of the more underrated prospects who caught my eye throughout the day. The 6-foot-8 big brings a physical presence around the cup and is a tall task for opposing interior defenders to handle. He also does a lot of the little things that are necessary from a successful big, including setting solid screens and creating space around the basket to open up driving lanes for teammates. Shepard consistently puts pressure on the offensive glass as well, creating second-chance opportunities through his activity and physicality. His combination of size, strength, and willingness to embrace the dirty work gives him plenty of intrigue as a young frontcourt prospect. With his 6-foot-8 frame alone, Shepard is a player who could garner attention from D1 and D2 programs as he continues to develop.

A developing post prospect, Sheppard has touch in the paint, above average mobility and high level size. He runs the floor well and competes on the glass. Expect Sheppard to be a college prospect from the state’s 2028 recruiting class.

Sheppard is a mobile big man with good touch in the paint, particularly effective finishing over his left shoulder. He plays with a high motor, rebounds consistently on both ends, and runs the floor well, changing ends with ease. His mobility and activity level make him a reliable interior presence with potential as a college prospect.
