Goering is an athletic forward who is also a standout on the gridiron, using many of the same attributes that make him a valuable basketball player to shine on the football field. He has good size and athleticism at 6-4/6-5, soft hands, and doesn’t shy away from physicality. As a role player last season, he averaged 4.7 points and 3.8 rebounds off the bench, and he figures to play a more prominent role as a junior.

Coach Steven Bergman and the Trojans usually boast at least a few younger players that jump out at you. Goering is one of those dudes. He’s every bit of the 6-5 at which he’s listed on the West roster with long arms and athleticism. With a lineup of established players, he blends in well with the group as a tenacious rebounder and defensive presence on multiple levels. He snared a a game-high nine boards and added six points on 3 of 4 shooting from the floor.
