Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Manson will be a four-year varsity starter at West, a rarity even if the program isn’t operating at the same heights it once did. He’s a high IQ, tough, and athletic forward who can control the glass, set his teammates up, and get to the rim off the dribble. He averaged 12.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game as a junior and will be the Trojans’ top option this season. He has committed to play football at Iowa.

Manson has committed to play football at Iowa, but he’s also a standout on the hardwood, averaging 12.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game as a junior on 62-46-52 splits. He’s a great athlete with a tremendous second jump that he uses to control the glass on both ends of the floor, averaging 3.6 offensive boards per game. He sees the floor well, can take slower-footed defenders off the dribble, and is a versatile defender.

Also one of the top football prospects in the state’s 2026 class, Manson is a long, athletic, playmaking wing who can create quality looks for his teammates off the dribble. He sees the floor well, covers a ton of ground defensively, contributes on the glass, and is a skilled finisher around the bucket. He averaged 8.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists a game as a sophomore for the Trojans.

The sophomore has impressed me more each time I’ve seen him. He was raw as a ninth-grader, but you can tell he’s worked on sharpening his skills. The lefty has smoothed out his shot and strengthened his handle with his right hand. He’s physically stronger, which helps him operate on the low block and in finishing at the rim. He’s a strong, versatile defender. He scored 17 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds Friday.
