About Mason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a strategic player. I do not need the spotlight. I play to win as a team and when that happens I reflect on how I could support our play even better next time.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe in visualization and not taking my mistakes with me. No one arrives on the court to fail. Mistakes are part of the game… move on and make the next play!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a link leader. It provides mentorship and onboarding to our newest high schools students. I also work and mentor at all of our schools youth camps. Mentoring basketball players ages 6-15. It is one of my favorite summer highlights. Getting kids in the gym believing in themselves is a great honor.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My mom is a Kindergarten teacher. If I am not in the gym afterschool I volunteer in her classroom helping kids with academics and encouraging all of them to try basketball. They are the greatest and some of the hardest kids come on the court and play with me to get their wiggles out.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was never the tallest most confident player. I after the Lord blessed me with my height I had to put in the work to become confident, fluid and strong in my game.
