Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
An aggressive two-way slashing guard with a strong defensive presence, excelling on both ends of the floor. Elite defensive skills, and cannot lock down opponents while also creating scoring opportunities on offense. Strong basketball IQ, makes smart decisions and has excellent playmaking abilities. Great chemistry with teammates, and cannot facilitate smooth ball movement and create open shots.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
A natural leader and floor general who remains calm and composed under pressure. Determined mindset, never gives up, and always pushing myself and the team to be better. Uplifting and motivating presence on the court who inspires others, and keeps my head in the game, regardless of the outcome. Unwavering focus and drive making me an asset on and off the court.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a dedicated student, currently participating in the AP Capstone Diploma program through my high school. This involves taking a rigorous course load and excelling with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.083 weighted GPA. A consistent honor roll student. I'm currently part of Spanish Club and have tutored my peers. Alongside my high-school basketball team I am also an active AAU basketball player.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. I have learned how to motivate and uplift my teammates, creating a positive and cohesive team environment. As a floor general I have learned how to make quick and effective decisions while considering the needs of the entire team.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Balancing a rigorous academic workload, with my commitments to basketball, and other club and community activities has been demanding. It has required time management, discipline and resilience. I'm always determined to improve and find ways to turn setbacks into stepping stones for success.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college that offers a strong mechanical or biomedical engineering program, as my goal is to pursue a career in one of those fields. I also want to continue my basketball journey at the college level, and I'm seeking a program that will push me to reach my full potential as a player and leader. My long-term goal is to play basketball beyond the high school and college levels.
