Niang also adds solid length to his game where he can score off put-backs and lobs thrown at him. His activity on the defensive end has also continued to improve where he can guard multiple positions but sometimes he will play too fast. His footwork around the perimeter has also been note-worthy as he tends to contest shots across all three scoring levels. Don’t be surprised to see a big leap in Niang’s recruitment as we head towards the spring and summer.

The 6-8 junior forward plays with a lot of athleticism and aggressiveness on the offensive end of the floor displaying a great feel for the game. Niang can score off put-backs as well as finish around the rim as a lob threat. On the defensive end, Niang plays with good foot speed and has a ton of versatility where he can block shots and rebound at a high level. This past season, Niang has also proved he can defend the perimeter at a high level and showed good lateral movement against guards. Niang’s game is only going to get better as we gear up for the next two seasons.
