“Man Man” is one of the best athletes in the state in the 25 class. He holds multiple D1 offers on the football field and is a good basketball player too. In order for him to get Woodford back to Rupp Arena, Smith needs to be an improved scorer while also maintaining his top notch defense that he’s known for.

Smith is going to have to step up in a big way to lead Woodford County back to Rupp Arena with the departure of Jasper Johnson to Link Academy, but I think he is more than capable of doing so. Smith’s athleticism and speed is electric which makes him extremely hard to guard and also be elite in transition. If he can get more consistent shooting the basketball, he will be one of the best players in the state this upcoming season.

“Man Man” is a tremendous athlete who is capable of playing lockdown defense or finishing on the break with a dunk. Makhi already has multiple power 5 D1 football offers so it’s almost definitely going to be his path to college but Smith is a talented basketball player as well and a reason that Woodford made the deep run they made at state last month.

Makhi “Man Man” Smith is a high major D1 athlete whose college future is on the football field but he’s a disruptive force on the basketball court as well. Smith has the ability to lock up defensively and gets downhill on offense. Woodford has a loaded 2025 class and Makhi is a key cog to that machine.
