Brooks might be the most underrated recruit in the midwest. I stand by my belief that he has a D1 game and skill set. Brooks is a tough guard with the leg strength to match. He can shoot, handle and defend at an elite level.

Brooks is a D1 talent. I’ll say it again, Brooks is a D1 talent. Better yet, he’s a star that’s willing to put in the work to continue to improve. Brooks is a leader that will score, defend and handle the ball all at an elite level.

Brooks is a supremely talented player. He was out last season with an injury, but before that, he had Division 1 interest. Well, he’s back and even better than before. Brooks is strong with the ball. He can handle like a point but slash, cut and score like an elite 2 guard. Brooks is a terrific young man that will be a plus addition to a program both on and off the court.

He’s BAAAACCCKKK. I threw out there this fall that Brooks had the look of a D1 talent and in his team’s first game, he made me look way smarter than I really am. The young man is just a different kind of athlete now that he’s healthy again. Brooks led his team to a tight 67-64 win against Detroit Edison. He finished the game with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Let’s not forget that a couple years ago, Brooks was an easy D1 target. The injury bug hit, but he’s battled back and looks the part of a D1 talent once again. He’s been better than outstanding at both the PH Michigan Top 250 and the City Slam Championships. Brooks has been a top notch playmaker with the ball and a true 3 level scorer.

Brooks has been rocking the showcase scene all fall. Truth be told, he had the look of a D1 guard at the PH Top 250 and he had that same look at City Slam. First of all, Brooks is a leader and was on Saturday. He can and will put the game in his hands. Brooks can play at a next level speed and can create offensive opportunities both in transition and in a half court set.

Brooks was simply excellent at the Top 250. This young man showed up to play on Saturday. He’s a bouncy perimeter player that finishes at a high percentage. Brooks showed that he’s an elite 3 level scorer. He also showed that he doesn’t have to score to have an influence on the outcome of the game. Brooks is an underrated passer and defender. As a matter of fact, a lot of his points came in party due to his top notch defense forcing turnovers.
