Luke showed he’s more than comfortable playing at his own pace, using his high basketball IQ to make reads, create for others, and stay in control throughout possessions. His shooting really stood out in July as he consistently got to his shot quickly, whether it was off the catch or off the bounce.

His pull-up is especially effective, as he rises over defenders and creates separation. He can also get downhill, finish around length at the rim, and make the right reads in advantage situations to involve his teammates. After the summer he put together, Kolich looks poised to carry that momentum into the fall and winter, where he should establish himself as one of the better 2028 guards in the Kansas City metro area.
