Concepcion is a new name to the region after generating a good bit of buzz in his native North Carolina, moving up to Sewickley for his freshman year with his brother being drafted by the nearby Cleveland Browns. The southpaw caught the eye immediately with good size as a lead guard with a lean frame and striking quickness. He was dynamic making plays off the bounce, getting all the way to the cup as a finisher but also keeping his head up consistently to throw crisp passes on the move to open teammates.

One of a handful of 2030’s selected to the Top 30 all-star game, Concepcion looks ready to be thrown into the fire right away with Sewickley taking on a rigorous non-league schedule.

Lloyd Concepcion capped off a strong summer with another high-level showing at the BallIsWife Camp. An electric athlete at the combo guard position, Concepcion played with a different gear, attacking with speed and explosiveness while bringing a noticeable edge to the floor. He was a legitimate threat to finish above the rim and played with a competitive mentality and fearlessness that consistently elevated his impact.

Lloyd Concepcion continued the outstanding spring and summer he put together with another strong performance for Team United at the 8th Grade Jr. EYBL Peach Jam. The explosive combo guard consistently put pressure on opposing defenses with his burst, getting into the paint almost whenever he wanted. He attacked with confidence, finished above the rim when lanes opened, and had the ability to score in bunches without forcing the action. Concepcion’s athleticism, downhill mentality, and consistent offensive production further solidified his standing among the top guards in the Class of 2030.
