North Augusta, SC — The third year of the Jr. EYBL concluded with another highly competitive Peach Jam, bringing together 64 of the nation's top 8th-grade teams for one of the premier evaluation settings of the summer. After pool play, the top two teams from each group advanced to the championship bracket, where Team Final claimed the title with a victory over New York Lightning. The five-foot-nine point guard played with exceptional poise from start to finish, consistently controlling the tempo and making the right decisions with the ball in his hands. He never allowed defenses to speed him up, operated with outstanding basketball IQ, and routinely created quality looks for teammates while picking his own spots offensively. Braswell's command of the game and ability to elevate everyone around him firmly established him as one of the premier point guards in the Class of 2030.

Isaiah Bridges played a major role in helping Nightrydas reach the semifinals of the 8th Grade Jr. EYBL Peach Jam. Having evaluated him on multiple occasions, this was the most complete offensive version of his game we've seen. The left-hander shot the ball with tremendous confidence, consistently knocking down perimeter jumpers and earning the freedom to fire whenever he found space. Bridges gave his team a different dimension with his scoring, while his ability to turn steals and defensive stops into instant offense created momentum throughout the week. His overall polish and offensive efficiency took another step forward.

Lloyd Concepcion continued the outstanding spring and summer he put together with another strong performance for Team United at the 8th Grade Jr. EYBL Peach Jam. The explosive combo guard consistently put pressure on opposing defenses with his burst, getting into the paint almost whenever he wanted. He attacked with confidence, finished above the rim when lanes opened, and had the ability to score in bunches without forcing the action. Concepcion's athleticism, downhill mentality, and consistent offensive production further solidified his standing among the top guards in the Class of 2030.

Few post players in the Class of 2030 raised their stock more this spring and summer than Russell Eaddy Jr., and he carried that momentum into Team Final's championship run at the 8th Grade Jr. EYBL Peach Jam. He was highly efficient around the basket, finishing with soft touch while displaying a polished back-to-the-basket game that included a reliable jump hook. Eaddy never tried to do too much, consistently converting the opportunities that came his way, controlling the glass with fundamentally sound box-outs, and playing with a level of confidence that continued to grow throughout the week. His interior production and steady presence were instrumental in Team Final capturing the title.

JJ Smith came within one win of helping New York Lightning capture back-to-back Jr. EYBL Peach Jam championships after winning the title in 7th grade. He once again proved why he belongs in the highest tier of guards in the Class of 2030 with another dominant offensive showing in North Augusta. Smith consistently attacked the paint with power, using his strength, burst, and athleticism to finish through contact or elevate above defenders at the rim. He played in attack mode from the opening tip, putting constant pressure on opposing defenses and creating offense with his relentless downhill approach. His physical tools and ability to generate efficient scoring opportunities continue to separate him from most guards in his class.

Stay tuned for more from Prep Hoops Next!
