Another standout football athlete, most Wheelersburg basketball stars are also big time players on the gridiron. I like how McGraw can score from the perimeter, knocking down shots at a high level off the bounce. After he starts making shots from the outside, McGraw can also attack off the dribble and score in the paint by attacking closeouts. A smart mover off the ball as well, McGraw impressed me with his ability to get himself open. Expect McGraw to continue to make noise in both football and basketball down in southeast Ohio as one of the better dual sport athletes in the region.

McGraw is a physical wing who crashes the offensive glass, makes smart passes and is efficient with the shots he attempts. His team runs a lot of set plays and McGraw makes nice reads off these sets for good looks for his teammates. Combine that with his ability to knock down an open shot and make a smart cut in the half-court and McGraw can beat you in a variety of ways.

Wheelersburg battled all game with Harvest Prep, even taking the lead in the middle of the fourth quarter before falling short. A huge second half charge by McGraw fueled the comeback for the Pirates. I was impressed by McGraw’s feel for the game, able to get in the lane and make plays happen off the bounce and move without the basketball. A skilled scorer from a variety of spots on the court, McGraw knocked down a couple spot-up 3-pointers and got low on a split for an and-1 floater. McGraw looks like he’ll be one of the top players in southeast Ohio by the time he’s a senior.
