Dulaney was already a highly-ranked 2025 prospect, but I think he may have improved his stock a couple spots into the #4 spot when the final 2025 rankings are posted on Friday. He could easily be a D2 basketball prospect if he weren’t a D1 football signee. He and Brandon Valley captured a State AA title, and Dulaney’s ability to lock-up and guard the opponents top guard was a big reason BV was able to get the job done.
Dulaney stuffed the stat sheet in all categories in the state AA tournament, with a near triple-double in the opening win over Sioux Falls Jefferson.

Dulaney was getting after the ball-handler and making it tough on them with his quick feet and strong and built frame. He can use his muscular frame to stop opponents drives at the hoop. He was very physical on the glass, with eight boards. He occasionally would rise up and simply pull the ball away from his opponent by skying up high and muscling the ball away from them. Nine points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the contest.

Dulaney is the highlight of this rankings update. He’s a different dude this season on the basketball court. He must be gearing up for some SDSU football in the weight room, because he looks bigger – stronger – faster. As predicted, he’s had some high usage and is being used as a ball-handler. He’s known as a legitimate defender, but this year his offensive game is shining as well. He’s shooting the three at a highly improved rate.

Dulaney is a Division I football signee, and you can see the D1 athleticism on the basketball court as well. He’s an athletic mover and has explosion. Had a great state tournament, and I think he blows up a little in his Senior season. I think he’ll be one of the most improved scorers in AA.
