Campbell is the type of young prospect coaches get excited about because the physical tools immediately stand out. At 6’4 and still growing, he already brings a strong interior presence that’s difficult for defenders to handle. He does a great job establishing deep post position, plays with strong hands and catches everything thrown his way around the rim. His freshman numbers were impressive across the board with 13 points and 10 rebounds per game, including a dominant 18 rebound performance that showed just how active he can be on the glass. Shooting 52% from the floor also highlights his efficiency and feel for the game, as he understands how to create quality looks instead of forcing shots. Campbell is a physical interior presence who embraces contact instead of avoiding it, and this wekeend he played with a clear edge every time he touched the floor. Sometimes, a bit too much but that’s passion. He wanted the ball on the block and made defenses feel him once he got there as he was carving out space and powering through traffic for finishes. Campbell crashed the glass hard and created extra possessions with strength and persistence. There were stretches where the offense completely flowed through him, and he responded by setting a tone physically and offensively and he’s a player who could end up being a really good player.

Campbell has the kind of size and strength most players his age simply don’t possess, and he used it to his advantage all weekend. He was a strong finisher around the basket, converting through contact and controlling space inside. He ran the floor well, consistently getting into position for easy opportunities in transition. On the glass he was active and physical, securing rebounds and extending possessions. His combination of strength, motor and interior presence made him tough to guard and even tougher to keep off the boards throughout the weekend
