About Kymani

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 2 way stretch big/wing player that loves to play defense and can score on all three levels. Standing 6’8, I can play the center, power forward or small forward positions with the ability to guard all 5 positions on defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a fun loving teammate who is easy to coach. I work hard and learn fast. I dream of one day playing in the NBA and I’ve been playing travel ball since I was 10 working toward that dream.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed skills like teamwork, leadership, communication and time management while playing basketball.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have dealt with injuries that have briefly taken the game I love away but I’ve remained mentally strong and persevered through those set backs. I missed 5 games my sophomore season due to a broken thumb and I’m currently recovering from a torn ACL that will have me out the entire 2024-2025 regular season with the possibility of returning in the playoffs.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open minded when it comes to what colleges I’m looking for. I prefer a college or university that is medium to large in campus size and has a very diverse student body. I believe I’m capable of playing at the highest level of division 1, but would be thankful to play on any level, be that D II, NAIA or Juco.

He rim ran at a high level this weekend — sprinted the floor hard and made himself a target every trip, leading to easy finishes at the rim and a few above-the-rim plays. Showed great patience and awareness around the basket, always knowing where he was on the floor and taking advantage of positioning for clean looks.

The lefty also flashed his ability to stretch the floor, knocking down shots with a smooth, high-arcing release. Moved well off the ball and stayed active within the offense — showed he can produce in multiple ways without needing a ton of touches.
