Kooper Richards Kooper Richards PG Grosse Pointe South | 2027 State MI is a must see point guard. The young man understands the game and plays smart basketball. Richards was excellent in a 73-57 Rosse Pointe South win against Chippewa Valley. He came close to a points and assists double-double, finishing with 17 and 8. Richards has a knack for recognizing good shots or good shot opportunities, while still being able to facilitate and find and feed teammates.

I’m thankful that I got to see Richards hoop this summer. Scouts and coaches, if you haven’t seen him in person, please do. The young man can flat out hoop. Richards is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He showed me one of the best shot fakes in the state this summer.

Ignore the number next to his name. He’s an update away from being ranked WAY higher than that. Richards is a silky smooth game influencer when the ball is in his hands. He can use ball and shot fakes to create space and then make a play with a bucket or an assist.

Richards was 1 of the most impressive players in the gym in my opinion. His shot fake and and take to the right was at times simply not guardable. Richards finished off it with layups and floaters. He had a pretty on time bounce pass to a wing cutter for an easy layup.

Richards is an exciting young talent that should be seen at The Final Chapter with the Michigan Playmakers . He can attack the rim with a low base that keeps the body strong and the ball protected. Richards can and will hit the paint with his handles and make plays with the ball from there.

Richards has all the tools to be a very high level point guard. I wouldn’t dare put a cap on his potential. He plays a smart game and being a solid decision maker with the ball is a definite strength of his game. Richards does a great job keeping a low front shoulder and attacking the rim off the bounce.
