He doesn't blow you away in the layup line, but usually the best don't. Pearson had the look of a next level shooter. He knew he could fill it up, and moved without the ball, seeking good shots.

To me, Glander just has that next level look. He's a versatile forward with good feet, and body control to go with his height. I can see Glander attacking off the wing, charging double lanes, with and without the ball. He did it a couple of times this weekend, and I saw him do it in Detroit in the spring.

Langdon is that consummate team player. He has a very strong frame and is an excellent screener. I got wide-eyed when I saw him screen for [player_tooltip player_id='2746379' first='Kooper' last='Richards']. It was tough to find a weakness with Langdon at the event. He did a little of everything. He's a solid rebounder, a plus defender, and can score from multiple levels.

Merlington is such an intriguing prospect. I'd even venture to say that he's underrated. Merlington could develop a dangerous frame at the next level. That combined with his jumper from beyond the arc, which he showed off in Grand Rapids, is scary to think about. Like a combination of Freddie Hunter and Nik Stauskas.

After watching this weekend, can we all just agree that [player_tooltip player_id='2746379' first='Kooper' last='Richards'] is one of the best point guards in the state, easily? The young man showed how to run an offense. Richards plays really well off the screen and can expertly read the defense and find teammates in ideal positions.

We got 2 for 1 in Grand Rapids this weekend with the GBL Finals and the Brawl For The Ball. There was a ton of talent in the gym playing in the 17U division. We're going to look at some of the players that I had notes on.
