did it again, shutting down a 6-foot-9 D-I big while recording 18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks. Brooks got whatever he wanted inside, scoring with his back to the basket as he dived across the lane for layups with both hands. He scored on coast-to-coast chances, worked the glass for putbacks and played above the rim with slams. His physicality and overall skill are hard to match across the state of Georgia. He’s an elite defender.

Following a scoreless first half, Khamari took over against Kell, piling in 17 points to go with his 7 rebounds and 1 steal. Brooks sank a pair of late threes and found his earlier buckets in the paint on a pair of putbacks, a cut and a drive. Khamari went 3-4 from the foul line. While football may be his future, Brooks can be dynamic on the hardwood as a two-way standout who knows how to use his physicality to succeed.

was the Titan’s utility player all season long. When the Titan’s needed a big rebound, he was there. When they needed another ball handler, to help break the press, or if two of the three guards were struggling from behind the arc, he stepped up and knocked down 3’s. If they needed to work the post, he’d play off the block, or if North Oconee needed their best defender, Brooks was the name they’d call on. At 6’4″ 220 pounds, coaches were challenged how to game plan for him. His physicality played a major role in their championship, and the sophomore Forward, slowed down one of the top players in the country when it mattered most. Khamari has deceptively good ball-handling skills, which has shown coaches he has a true inside-outside game, and as he’s further evaluated, scouts should consider viewing him as a Small Forward rather than a Power Forward.

. The Titans typically have balanced scoring from their starters, finishing most of their games, with 3 or more of them scoring in the double digits. With a team filled with 3-point shooters, he’s right there with the rest of them. He’s a 6’4″ 220-pound Forward who now plays on the wing more than in the post, and he’s the Swiss Army Knife for his team. He can shoot well, sees the floor well, runs the floor well, he can dribble with minimal mistakes and turnovers, he can post up, as a good second jump, can get the rim with power and strength while finishing through contact, he can knock down free throws, he gets rebounds, has good interior passing skills, plays with a good IQ, and most importantly, has elevated his game this post season. He was the second leading scorer, for his team, in the Elite 8 with 17 points, and scored 28 points in the Final Four, including a tip-in for the final two points, off his missed attempt, to put his team ahead by one point right before the final buzzer. Khamari is arguably having the best state playoff surge, of anyone, in the state of Georgia, and is looking to add to that on Wednesday, March 6th in the state championship game.

A knee injury in the region playoffs hurt North Oconee’s title dreams. When healthy, Brooks is a positionless player that provides a major lift on defense. He jumps well, able to get to rebounds quicker than anyone else. He defends both on the perimeter and in the post. Khamari found his offense on slashes to the basket and by doing the dirty work on the glass.

posted 10 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal on Tuesday. Brooks is a well-built player that serves as a 3/4 for the Titans. He’s strong enough to power through contact and has the leaping ability to rebound and score over larger players. Brooks provides versatility on defense and interesting upside on offense, able to hit the three and attack off the dribble.
