Having tightened the screws on his handle over the summer, KJD took hold of the keys to the Senators offense as a senior. The improved ball-handling and the strength he already had allowed him to create for the many scorers on his team. Additionally, Jackson-Dickson showcased his vision in the open floor by throwing passes on a rope to guys streaking down the court for fastbreak points. His unselfish play extended to all phases of the game was part of the recipe for their 21-2 record.

Jackson-Dickson hangs his hand on his ability to facilitate – and he did. But with Dover’s best slasher out for the game, the senior point guard had to shift gears in order to put down an Eagles team finding its rhythm. He exploded in the third quarter. In successive possessions, KJD hit a step-back three in transition, pulled up for another three, then drove and kissed the ball off the glass for an and-one lay. Finally, he closed out the game by getting back to the paint and finished tied for a team-high with 16 points.

On top of being a physical playmaker who welcomes – and initiates – contact on O & D, Jackson-Dickson is wired the right way between the ears. As such, the biggest thing for him is being more vocal to get and keep his guy organized.
