Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
An athletic slasher that applied pressure to the defense by attacking downhill at the wing position. During team’s last game of weekend he knocked down a catch and shoot 3 and constantly found his way into the paint area for finishes. Used strong drives and off ball movements to generate efficient offense. Defensively made an impressive chase down block off the back board to add momentum. Plays with confidence while making correct reads throughout. Helped secure team to a 3-1 finish on the weekend front.

Thicker-built combo guard who served as an initiator and high-tempo presence for Midwest Mayhem 16U. Thrived getting downhill, using his strength to take on contact and finish through defenders. Played with a high engine in transition and showed a burst of speed with the ball in his hands that put pressure on defenses. Also adds value as a three-point shooter, rounding out his offensive impact.

Johnson was one of the more active players I saw compete on Saturday as he runs with the Midwest Mayhem club. Kalvin made impactful and impressive plays in the matchup versus 24:UP NY2LA. Johnson is a powerful finisher in the paint when he gets in a grove downhill. The six-foot-three sophomore was able to finish through contact and when he did not finish, he earned trips to the line to convert efficient points. Kalvin hit some perimeter triples, found his teammates on assists against a zone, and was extremely active on the glass. As Racine Lutheran moves on from mainstays in their lineup via graduation, Johnson could be the one to step up and fill some essential roles for the Crusaders in the 26-27 season.
