Ben, who saw sometime as a sophomore at West Delaware HS in Iowa, showcased his unique abilities to score the basketball in a variety of ways. Berning scored at all three levels using his fundamental footwork, strength, and overall ability to knock down triples from deep. Berning finished with 15 points in the game, while doing the little things for his squad and competing on the defensive end.

Freitag was on fire from deep in his game against Court 45. Kyle was able to use his strong physical frame and solid footwork to score around the basket on Saturday. Frietag is a consistent knock down jump shooter and was torching the nets from downtown on Saturday. He finished with four triples. The six foot sophomore was able to see some limited minutes for a loaded Mount Horeb team this year, and should figure to earn more time for the Vikings as they graduated a lot of scoring and production in their senior class.

Johnson was one of the more active players I saw compete on Saturday as he runs with the Midwest Mayhem club. Kalvin made impactful and impressive plays in the matchup versus 24:UP NY2LA. Johnson is a powerful finisher in the paint when he gets in a grove downhill. The six-foot-three sophomore was able to finish through contact and when he did not finish, he earned trips to the line to convert efficient points. Kalvin hit some perimeter triples, found his teammates on assists against a zone, and was extremely active on the glass. As Racine Lutheran moves on from mainstays in their lineup via graduation, Johnson could be the one to step up and fill some essential roles for the Crusaders in the 26-27 season.

An athletic and physical wing player, Kwapil was another player that stood out for Midwest Mayhem on Saturday. Charlies utilizes a deep bag of finishing skills when he catches to attack the basket. When he is not finishing at the rim, Kwapil is using his size and athleticism to draw contact and get to the charity stripe. I was most impressed with Kwapil's ability to disrupt and impact the game on the defensive end. The prospect from Racine Case, was racking up the deflections and creating offensive transition opportunities with steals and pressure.

Sellinger was a longer wing prospect for the 24:UP NY2LA squad that impressed me on Saturday. Connor is one of the bigger players on his team, but he does a majority of the ball handling on his team due to his tight handle and ability to create off the bounce. Sellinger hit mid-rangers and deep threes off his dribble and ball screens showcasing his ability to effectively read pick and rolls. Connor's shot making kept his team in the game. A prospect to monitor as he adds strength and develops other parts to his game.

Smith was hands down the best shooter I saw on Saturday in the 16u division. The six-foot-one sophomore was cooking on Saturday night, burying six triples, some of them from NBA range. Smith is unguardable when he is in a groove like he was last night. Brayden has great confidence, but has even better mechanics with his footwork and release to get shots up in a hurry . Smith has developed other parts of his game, as I saw him make good passes to teammates in transition and in the half court and consistently make 1-2 pullups from the midrange. A prolific scorer already at Elkhart Lake- Glenbeulah, Smith will continue to climb the scoring leaderboards in his school history, and in the state if he continues his pace.

Henry was pretty entertaining to watch for Wisconsin Bilzzard- Ice on Saturday as his team almost pulled off a big comeback against MN Lace-Up. The guard from WLA, was able to create shots for himself and his teammates with his quickness and vision in pick and roll. Henry found his teammates on perfect pocket passes in these opportunities. Hudson showcased his ability to shoot out of PNR, and stop on a dime to convert mid-range shots. Henry has great footwork, a high motor, and is an unselfish lead guard.
