Named the GWOC player of the year, Cranford Jr has shown the ability to produce in one of the toughest leagues in Ohio. A name to know for both regional basketball and football programs, Cranford Jr could be an impact player at the next level in either sport!

Wanye went back and forth with a team from Indiana (who will have a standout later in the article) and unfortunately came up a little bit short. It wasn’t because of a lack of effort from Cranford who has elite touch and hit some really tough shots throughout the game. One of the few prospects in Ohio gaining scholarship interest in both football and basketball, Cranford has a pair of offers in each sport from a variety of Division II and NAIA programs. With his size, strength and shooting ability, it’s easy to see why Cranford is being coveted in both sports. Cranford is a big body guard with a very smooth game. He has a good pace in his game. He plays one smooth speed and doesn’t let anyone or anything sped him up. His big body and strength allow him to get to the basket easily. He has a nice jumper as well so he is a threat off the ball. He also is a nice passer.

Cranford is a bigger bodied wing guard who had a really impressive spring and summer for Midwest Basketball Club’s 16 U Gold team. Cranford uses his frame and body to create contact first when he attacks and has the strength to overpower smaller guards. An impressive shot maker as well, Cranford is deadly off the catch or as the ball handler in the pick and roll.
