One of the more intriguing big men long term in New Jersey, Mackintosh appears to just be coming into his own. A talented shot blocker who runs the floor well, rebounds, and has a growing offensive game, Mackintosh has the tools to develop into a scholarship level player before he graduates.

Mackintosh has the ability to breakout this winter as he should get more touches in the half court. The 6’8 forward knows how to get position down low and has a good touch around the rim. Mackintosh is unafraid of drawing contact and sets strong screens in the half court. He is a force on the boards and holds his ground on the defensive end. Mackintosh is a gritty forward prospect whose ability to rip down rebounds and finish around the rim will help his development in a big way this winter.

Coming off a standout performance at CP3 Rising Stars camp late this summer, Mackintosh continues to draw attention with his development in the frontcourt. Having sprouted several inches just recently to his current 6’8″ frame, he looks to be putting things together at a steady clip with a blossoming inside-out skillset. Despite an up-and-down camp setting that doesn’t typically favor big men, Mackintosh was consistently finding himself in the right spots on either end to capitalize using his size, touch, and natural two-way feel. With flashes of extending out to the perimeter a standstill or pick-and-pop shooter, Mackintosh has a chance to develop into the type of true inside-out threat that scholarship-level programs covet.
