He had a season high 28, proving he can take over offensively when needed. He’s aggressive with the ball in his hands, pushing the pace and getting to his spots with confidence. His jump shot stands out, especially as a spot up shooter, making him a threat from the perimeter. Playing fast and with purpose, Alade consistently put pressure on defenses and was a key piece needed on a nightly basis

Alade is one of the ultimate glue guys and still somehow flies under the radar at The Vanguard School. His numbers jump off the page with 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, but it’s the consistency that defines him. He lives in double figures in both scoring and rebounding and already has nine double doubles this season. He can score from all three levels, stretch the floor, attack closeouts and get downhill with speed. He rebounds in traffic, runs the floor hard and delivers every night, making him the steady force that keeps Vanguard rolling

Alade over at The Vanguard School looks ready to make a serious impact this year. With his big frame and physical presence he already stands out the moment he steps on the court. He’s got great hands and catches everything thrown his way, and finishes with power around the basket. Alade plays strong and aggressive and doesn’t shy away from contact and never backs down from a challenge. When he seals deep or gets position inside, he becomes a real problem for defenders. This season we’re hoping to see him continue dominating the paint, controlling the glass and setting the tone with his toughness. If he keeps elevating his game, Alade could be one of the most reliable interior threats in the area

Alade just looks the part, and that is something that continues to pop for me. He’s strong, athletic, and always moving. His motor matched his frame. He ran the floor, finished through contact, and bullied smaller defenders in the paint. He played with physicality and never shied away from contact. Alade set hard screens, rolled with purpose, and made life easier for his guards for 7070 Athletics . He keeps growing on me. Every time I see him, he gives you a reason to stay locked in, and that was on display.

Alade jumped into the rankings after a standout year and summer. The 6’5 wing averaged 11.3 points and 10 boards for Vanguard, showing he could dominate his level. He stood out at Colorado Live with 7070 Athletics , proving that his skill set translates across the state and against better competition. He has a strong face-up game, finishes through contact, and rebounds hard. Josh went from a small-school standout to a statewide riser as he made his case, and now he gets a full season to keep climbing. I expect him to rise the next time around.

Alade delivered a strong showing across both of his games, showcasing an impressive and well rounded offensive arsenal. He consistently created separation with his first step, using sharp angles and explosive cuts to beat defenders off the dribble. Once in the lane, he displayed excellent body control and pace, finishing at the rim with speed or pulling up for a smooth mid range jumper when the defense collapsed. He also brought the energy and hops, igniting the crowd with a highlight reel dunk in each contest. Alade’s combination of athleticism, skill, and feel for the game made him one of the most impactful players on the floor throughout the day

Alade has been leveling up big time this season, and this past weekend was another step forward. He played with confidence and really showed off his range and knocked down shots from deep like it was nothing. You saw that he really trusted his shot, never hesitating to let it fly when he had space. Alade also kept defenders guessing by putting the ball on the floor and attacking the lane. He showed he can break people down off the dribble and finish strong at the rim. That mix of shooting and slashing made him a tough cover all weekend. His game is clearly on the rise

A high-end athlete in this tournament who moves around the court well. He can be active on both ends of the court, but more so on the defensive end. Like the way he plays within the 3-point arch, where with work, he could be a force. Like his chance to make leaps and bounds in his improvement this summer. If he does, he can be recruitable. The one maybe with the most potential.

High School: The Vanguard School
What He Likes About HS: He believes that his team went 17-7 this past year
AAU: 7070 Athletics
What He Thinks He Does Well: Defending & Mid-Range Shots
What He Thinks He Would Like to Work on The Most: Ball Handling
Dream School: Any of the UNC system schools
Offers: None
Favorite Player: Kevin Durant
MJ vs Lebron: Lebron James
Scouts Take: Another high plus side player from this team’s roster. He moves well on the court and can easily display solid athleticism. He is a plus prospect because of this. He can impact a game even when scoring is not happening. Currently, plays within the arch and can be a disruptor on both ends of the court. Can run the floor well. Can use a 2-3 dribble drive to get a shot
Where I Would Like to See Improvement: If the prospect stays at the 6’5″ height, it is ok for now to stay within the arch, if that is what he does best. But as a player looking for recruitment, he would project out as a wing player. He needs to dominate inside the arc, then. Find and drill on advanced post moves until they are honed. Become such a physical intimidation when rebounding that others hate to play against him. If he starts imposing his given talents on others, he could start to expload onto the scene. Needs Strength & Size.
