Morency showed some good skill and competitive toughness. The guard never gave up, despite facing a big deficit he continued to attack. Knocking down some shots and finishing at the bucket. He finished the game with 15 points to pace the Miners.

This will be a terrific time to evaluate the senior guard. Morency, is a highly skilled playmaker with the ability to shoot the ball as well as create for others. He will get a great test of his skill this week playing against a coulpe defensive minded Northern California squads.

This could be a huge year for Morency, who has managed to remain in the top 10 despite relocation and a lost season. He’s a confident scoring PG that can play with anyone, in the state. Look for him to garner interest from schools throughout the high school season.

I’m fortunate that I’ve had the opportunity to watch a lot of Morency on film. The Monague PG is fearless, and has the ability to both score and distribute. If he can help a good Monague team make some noise in the North, he could be a POY canidate.
