Jay Anderson | Prep Hoops Scout
Jones is due for a break out season in the Kinston High rotation heading into his final season on the hardwood. He moves into 110th spot in the 2024 rankings following a productive grassroots season this past spring/summer with East Carolina Elite. He’s a 6-foot-4 strong-framed wing prospect who can handle the ball on the perimeter and defend multiple spots on the floor defensively. He’s a budding name in the 252 area to get to know with potential as a DII prospect in the region. Look for him to turn a corner on the NCHSAA stage in 2023-24.

Jones is another 6-foot-4 prospect to keep an eye on as a new addition in the 2024 rankings at No. 89 in the latest update. He’s a strong, dynamic prospect that can operate inside and out given his size and length. He’s shown he can finish with authority and step out and knock down shots off the bounce as well. He’s a name to watch at Kinston High this season.
