Look for Fox to make a splash this spring/summer after missing the majority of the high school season. The quick-twitch, 6-foot-1 combo guard is wired to score in a variety of ways and with tremendous volume. While it was a quiet start for he and this New World group, his edge kicked in during the second quarter and would shine brightly in the second half where he relentlessly attacked the rim and finished with ferocity above it when he had a clear path for takeoff. Expect him to log some pretty crooked scoring numbers for this 16s group as he poses as the alpha in a primary scoring role.

-Fox missed a good chunk of the season due to eligibility issue (zoning), but without that, he would probably be within our top 10-15 for the class. A smooth scoring guard that has added more explosiveness to his game over the last 12 months, I think he will blow scouts away on the circuit this summer as a prospect that can fill it up from all 3 levels. Fox can knock down shots off the bounce from all three levels, displayed finishing craft around the basket, and has success against different defensive archetypes thrown his way. If the competitive fire extends to the defensive end of the floor as it did throughout the AAU tryout/workout process, Fox can really raise his ceiling as a two-way prospect that can do it all.

Jordan is primed for another breakout year as he heads to the DCIAA in his second season. Averaged well over 20 points a game as a freshman in a tough conference with Avalon and I anticipate he will follow up with higher numbers considering the offensive freedom and defensive pressure that Cardozo will play with. Jordan is versatile offensively can get to his spots through pick-and-roll or through a spread look in iso-situations. He will have the ball in his hands a ton with the Clerks in his debut season this year, but the way he can impact winning will be key as he shifts to the DC playing field. Already off to a red-hot start with the Clerks early on this year.

-Probably the most balanced scoring display that I’ve seen out of Fox as he really had it going from all 3 levels. Fox was dynamic as both a passer and finisher in transition, hit shots from the midrange and perimeter, and baited defenders into fouling him both under the rim or beyond the 3 point arc with a series of pump fakes and pivots. Fox overcame some early TO issues to also serve as a playmaker for others–especially in transition– but I’m looking for him to turn his paint touches into kickouts to open shooters or for him to use that scoring gravity in the halfcourt to draw 2 before making the play to a teammate. Fully believe that will come in time as the sophomore PG continues to develop this season.

has been rising up our ranks ever since joining back last season. His game has been evolving quickly and he has shown our scouts something new in our time covering the guard. Jordan can simply take over a game with his scoring ability and has improved upon his playmaking skill, keeping his head up for open shooters while attacking the basket. He can finish on both sides of the lane and pullup for a jumpshot anywhere on the floor. Attacks closeouts with regularity, not afraid to get to the cup and will make shots over contests when in rhythm. One of the more entertaining young guards in the DMV area.

Jordan has been scoring at will since his freshman season with Avalon. Deadly shooter that can catch a hot hand quickly if you let him. Jordan is elusive with the ball and he put up big numbers all summer in DC. One of the leading scorers in his conference during the regular season and continued that momentum into the Live Period with Avalon. Deadeye of a jumpshooter that’s comfortable inside and outside the perimeter. Interested to see how far his talent takes him as he was already a top scorer as a Freshman.

-Fox’s offensive ability really cared things at that end of the floor for most of what was a close game between Avalon and T. Rose. Fox showed the full repertoire as one of the elite scorers in the area with a spin move pull-up in transition, a double cross into a tough pull-up 3, hit an in n out crossover into the inside hide blow-by layup, and had a beautiful one-handed dime to a shooter on the opposite side of the floor for an open 3. Loved that he is doing a great job of getting two feet in the paint to draw fouls (11 FTA on the night) to balance the perimeter play-making and shot-making. If he can turn a few of the long 3s and pull-ups into drives to the rim or assists to teammates to take advantage of his scoring gravity on efficient shooting numbers– I think he has a chance to be a top-10 player in the class.

Jordan is one of the top young guards in the area and he looks to prove it this upcoming weekend. Coming into the live period a bit underrated, but he’ll be on full display with Cardozo. Jordan will have a great chance to showcase his scoring prowess during his team’s two games at DC Live. His knack for feeling out the defense and adjusting his game by the flow is impressive to see. I expect Jordan to find a way to be one of the event’s top scoring guards by the end. His feel for getting into spots where he’s most comfortable is essential to his overall game. He can dribble through pressure and attack the rim at a high rate. Does a good job of opening up the floor for his team in the halfcourt. Plays willing defense and crashes the boards for rebounds.

-Really dynamic guard off the bounce that demonstrates an ability to break his man down without a ball screen to create advantage situations for his teammates. Quick as a hiccup, Fox sets up his drives to the rim by coming off a screen flat before splitting the double to get downhill before the defense can react for a basket. Fox’s ball pressure has been key to allowing Avalon to generate turnovers in their fullcourt and halfcourt pressing schemes, love his ability to generate turnovers without fouling. Fox has the potential to break into our top 25 or so in the class over the next few seasons if the development continues at this trajectory.

Jordan looks to follow his stellar freshmen season with a big-time summer with New World. He averaged over 20 points a game with Avalon School over the regular season. Fox will bring his scoring prowess to the circuit this summer and the scouts will take notice. He can knock down open shots all game, but has handle and raw strength that helps him finish at the rim with either hand.

is a name that I expect to see time and time again this offseason thanks to his big-time talent, which has yet to reach it’s peak.
