One of the more physical teams in Ohio, Cincinnati St Xavier can wear down their opponents and that’s exactly what the Bombers did on Saturday in a competitive district title win over a Cincinnati Fairfield group that wouldn’t go away. Veith had some big boy rebounds in the paint and finished well at the rim, even through contact. St Xavier does the little things exceptionally like box out and be in the gaps help side defensively and that’s why they are so tough to beat.

Cincinnati St Xavier is always a senior led team and this year will be no different for the Bombers as Veith is a perfect example of a prospect who waited his turn to contribute. Veith has a strong frame, is patient when he catches the ball in the paint and rebounds at a high level. He fits the deliberate style St Xavier wants to play and has a football state semifinal to try and win tonight Vs Middletown.

Typically the best St Xavier basketball teams have talent from their football team competing on the hardwood as well and Veith checks that box as a tight end on the gridiron. Very efficient in the paint, Veith finished with both hands and did a nice job sealing for position on the interior. Also flashing a pick and pop game from 3-point range, Veith had a solid day by impacting the game in a handful of ways.
