How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?rn-I think that overall, my highschool summer league went very well. As a player I developed more of a handle and started to bring the ball up more. I used my body more inside the paint and was able to move some weight around. As a team I think we gained tons of chemistry and started to play really well together towards the end of the summer. I think as we play fall league and practice we will be more then ready for the season. AAU wise I think i have been very successful as a player. We are a very small team and so sometimes I get placed on the forward position and have to play downlow and I have to battle with some of the bigs we go against. As a team I think we are almost unbeatable. We battle every game with every team. I would consider us a top 3 AAU team in the state.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atrn-Some things in my opinion that stand out about my game is my ability to rise and shoot almost over anybody. I have a high release with the left hand and get elevation on my mid range pull up. I also think my ability to attack off screens or whatever is strong and hard to stop. I also think I am a level headed player and I don’t make stupid plays and have that next play mentality.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?rn-Beyond highschool I look for a college that wants me of course. I also want to be a good fit for the team and be able to get along with the players and be able to connect with them off the court as well. I want to go to college and play basketball and not sit on the bench so whether that is NAIA or d2 d3.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?rn-I currently have offers from University of Providence in Montana (NAIA) and then have another offer from George fox. I have also been in contact with MSUB (d2), chaminade (d2), UPS, Whitworth and Lewis and Clark College.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?rn-Some things I want to improve on before playing in the next level is my handle being able to handle the ball inside the paint more and keep that dribble and then just getting stronger so I can stay up with the older guys in college.

Prev Rank: 75 (+33)rnFloyd made a lot of improvements in the last high school season, enough to warrant a big rise in the rankings and he hasn’t stopped that ascent yet. He’s a big guard at 6-foot-4 who looks stronger in almost every way. The lift he gets on his jumper makes it a really tough shot to contest, he’s an outstanding rebounding guard, and he has shown a better ability to finish above defenders at the rim. There is a lot to like about his game and if he continues to improve at this rate, he will be a key guy to watch up north next high school season.

John has been absolutely balling this summer. He has helped lead D1-Elite to a couple tournament wins so far and they are likely not done just yet. He has also earned himself his first offer for beyond the high school level and I am confident he will have more coming his way. John is a lefty who is a threat off the catch or off the dribble. He has a quick release and is a very good shooter from deep.

Previous Rank: 92rnThe first-team All-Wesco guard took a big step forward for the Stanwood Spartans. He has expanded his offensive game, showing he can use his 6-foot-3 body to score more inside and dip around defenders to get in the paint. He is still a fantastic shooter from long-range but now he is a more complete scorer that can hit from every level.

The lefty out of Stanwood has been progressively getting better, from last season to the summer, to exploding offensively this season. He’s diversified his game from a sharpshooter to a guy who can search and sift through the middle of defenses and make some plays with the dribble. He’s actually a really strong rebounding guard as well and has been playing with a good mix of poise and aggression this year.

He is having a breakout junior season. He is filling up the stat sheet with 21 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. A good shooter with range but I like the way he attacks the defense off the dribble. He is quick and can pull-up in a hurry or get all the way to the basket. He sets up the defense well with his change of speed and hunts buckets in a good way. He is a smooth looking lefty who gets after it.
