Continue ReadingI did a couple of these last year with the 2023 class, so I decided to do some more now with the 2024 class within the state of Washington now that the season is approaching. I reached out to some players within the 2024 class and asked them 5 questions about their summers, the upcoming season, and what their recruiting process is looking like as of right now.
How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-I think my AAU season and high school summer season has gone pretty good. My AAU has excelled against great competition and played together every game and it’s fun to play and be around those guys. High school summer season was a great time for my team as a group to get used to playing together and get ready for next season.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-Some things that I try to be good at or it stands out would be my shooting. I always try to be the most consistent shooter I can be on the court and also another thing is my effort in playing defense and communicating with teammates and coaches to help better the team.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
-I am looking forward to playing at the next level and gettin a degree and meeting new people.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I have heard from many different schools and as of now hold 3 offers from Northwest Univ, Univ of Providence and George Fox
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
-I want to improve on being a more consistent player in all facets of the game and constantly getting better at something.
How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-My AAU season and HS summer season went good. I improved in areas that I wanted to improve in. I am very excited for this upcoming high school season, we basically have the same team as last year and we all enjoy playing with each other.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-I feel like I am a very good all around player on both offenses and defense. I am a consistent shooter and I use my length to finish over or around defenders. The coaches that I’ve talked to have told me that my shooting, defense and leadership stand out.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
-I am looking for a coaching staff that will push me to be the best on and off the court. I would also like to go to a competitive program that also offers a good education in areas that I’m interested in.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I currently hold an offer from Tacoma Community College and I have received interests from Whitworth, Lewis and Clark state, Puget Sound, Willamette, Central Washington University, Oberlin, and The Coast Guard Academy.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
-I am working on getting stronger and more athletic so I can compete at the next level. I am also working on my handles and play making ability to create opportunities for me and my teammates.

How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-I think my aau and hs summer league went really well. It definitely opened up my recruitment. I’m very excited for the upcoming season. I look forward hopefully leading my team back to the state championship.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-Some things that stand out about my game is my scoring ability. I can score from all three levels. I really excel in transition and on the fast break. I am also a very underrated passer.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
–I am looking for a school that a believe is the right fit for me wherever that ends up being. Somewhere I will enjoy being and will allow me to make great friendships and memories.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I have been in contact and have talked to schools from all levels. Right now I feel like Central Washington, Seattle Pacific , Puget Sound, Vanguard University,and Whitman have talked to me the most.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
–Before playing at the next level I definitely need to become stronger and add a few pounds to my body and also become more athletic and overall a better athlete.
How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?rn-I think that overall, my highschool summer league went very well. As a player I developed more of a handle and started to bring the ball up more. I used my body more inside the paint and was able to move some weight around. As a team I think we gained tons of chemistry and started to play really well together towards the end of the summer. I think as we play fall league and practice we will be more then ready for the season. AAU wise I think i have been very successful as a player. We are a very small team and so sometimes I get placed on the forward position and have to play downlow and I have to battle with some of the bigs we go against. As a team I think we are almost unbeatable. We battle every game with every team. I would consider us a top 3 AAU team in the state.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atrn-Some things in my opinion that stand out about my game is my ability to rise and shoot almost over anybody. I have a high release with the left hand and get elevation on my mid range pull up. I also think my ability to attack off screens or whatever is strong and hard to stop. I also think I am a level headed player and I don’t make stupid plays and have that next play mentality.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?rn-Beyond highschool I look for a college that wants me of course. I also want to be a good fit for the team and be able to get along with the players and be able to connect with them off the court as well. I want to go to college and play basketball and not sit on the bench so whether that is NAIA or d2 d3.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?rn-I currently have offers from University of Providence in Montana (NAIA) and then have another offer from George fox. I have also been in contact with MSUB (d2), chaminade (d2), UPS, Whitworth and Lewis and Clark College.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?rn-Some things I want to improve on before playing in the next level is my handle being able to handle the ball inside the paint more and keep that dribble and then just getting stronger so I can stay up with the older guys in college.
How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-My AAU and Summer league season went well. I feel like I have become a better overall player and a much better leader. This upcoming season I’m going to do whatever it takes to win. I want to win the league title and I want to get Mount Tahoma back to the T-Dome which hasn’t happened in a long time.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-I feel like my intensity stands out about my game. I show up and compete for all 4 quarters. I can lock down the other teams best player, I can facilitate and get everyone involved or I can go get 20-25. Whatever coach needs me to do to win, I’m going to do it.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
-I’m looking for a school that believes in me. A school that cares for me beyond just what I can provide for their basketball team. I want to go to a program that will help me develop as a person and as a player.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I have been in contact with a few schools, Tacoma Community College offered me and I have been talking to University Of Puget Sound, Green River College, Northwest University and a couple other naia/d3/d2 schools.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
–Like I said I want to improve on being a better leader and become better defensively because I know at the next level they aren’t going to need 20 ppg scorers. So I just want to bring great energy and leadership to whatever school I choose.
