Campbell is a serious two way threat with impressive length and size for his position. He’s a real downhill threat on offense that attacks the rim with authority and physicality all night long. Very physical on the glass and around the basket at both ends. His perimeter game is still what needs to improve but still functional as of now. Defensively is a nightmare with his length and quickness, getting lots of balls poked free and actively disrupting passing lanes.

John Campbell John Campbell 6'4" | CG Bishop McGuinness | 2024 State NC is a strong-framed athletic combo guard that’s grown a ton in the NC Spartans Liles rotation this grassroots cycle. He can operate on the perimeter and is quite the operator off the bounce as well. He knows how to fill up the stat sheet as a scorer and rebounder and looks to constantly make his presence felt on the glass when shots go up. Navy is one program that’s offered him but look for his status to grow on the recruiting trail as his senior season approaches at Bishop McGuinness High.

John Campbell John Campbell 6'4" | CG Bishop McGuinness | 2024 State NC is a sizeable guard at 6-foot-4 that’s shown he can finish with authority and lead the team scoring efforts through the April Live Periods. He’s an aggressive finisher that looks to put pressure on opponents with his ability to finish through contact. He showed he could operate on the perimeter as well and be a presence as a shooter. He’s a name out of Bishop McGuinness High to get to know for DII and DIII programs in the region.

Campbell is the ultimate D3 package on his Spartans squad, showcasing impressive athleticism along with quality intangibles. He’s got a super high motor, jumping and leaping above the rim to tip in shots or dunk the ball, and runs the floor incredibly well. He’s scrappier than many of his peers, hitting the floor multiple times for loose balls and playing through the whistle in order to stay physical. His team was down at half and through the second half, his composure and demeanor never wavered as his squad clawed back into it. He’s a big wing that should be able to stay on the floor on defense. and make winning plays in order to help his team.

He was a feature name in the Bishop McGuinness backcourt with his ability to make things happen as a cutter in the offense and presence on the glass. He does well to use his energy in a variety of ways to make things happen on the floor. He’ll be a potential name with growth on the recruiting scene with the NC Spartans .
