Cabana sent a message early in the game with a big jumper. I even made note that closeouts had to be hard, fast and effective or it’d be a long night. The closeouts improved, but Cabana was in rhythm. He’s a lights out shooter that has elite athleticism to go with it. Cabana has that big game flare and he came through yet again in a Chelsea win against Saline.

Trust me when I say this, Cabana is one of the more athletic players in the state of Michigan. He’s explosive off the floor and can finish with force at the rim. Cabana is also explosive with the ball in his hands with his speed with the ball and fast first step. Cabana’s athleticism keeps him 1 step ahead.

Cabana is probably one of the best athletes in the state. He averaged 13.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game over the weekend with DTO Elite.

As mentioned above, Cabana is a tremendous all around athlete that can explode off the ground. He helps make up one of the best and deepest backcourts that you’ll see in the playoff this year. Cabana is a 3 level scorer that seems to step his game up in crunch time.

Cabana is a very high upside prospect and a terrific athlete. This was very evident in their 62-53 win against a quality Tecumseh squad. He had 24 points on the night.

I don’t have any numbers on him in the game that I saw, but the numbers aren’t really what’s important. It was his overall athleticism, his toughness, and his leadership that stood out to me. First of all, Cabana is one of the better pure athletes that I’ve seen. If he went to a combine, I think he’d be off the charts. Cabana is as tough as they come, both mentally and physically. In the game I saw him play in, he was a guy teammates turned to late in the contest.

Cabana’s rise really started in the fall of 2021, but he still has to be on this list. He’s one of the better pure athletes that I’ve seen. He’s meshed his ability to run fast and jump high with his mental game and his basketball IQ. I’ve been very high on Cabana as a player and prospect due to that mesh of talents. He’s the type of player that I refuse to put a cap on his potential.

Cabana had a dominant performance in Chelsea’s win. He showed that he could get some very athletic buckets, starting on the wings and driving the lane going right to left or left to right depending on what side of the court he was playing off of. Cabana was also able to finish in transition. His shooting looks like it has improved, with him hitting multiple catch and shoot triples in the game. Cabana finished the contest with 27 points.

I absolutely love the upside that Cabana carries. He’s a tremendous all around athlete that can simply run faster and jump higher than most. Watch this high school season, because Cabana could be a terror in the open floor. I don’t see any way that these skills don’t equal out to long term success.
