Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would say my gamestyle is all around. I take pride in my defensive ability and rebounding, I chase down loose balls and try to make sure every rebound is secured for no chance at second chance points. Offensively I can knock down shots and get to the basket in a variety of ways. I’m very athletic so it gives me the advantage over most defenders.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I have a winning mentality. I hate losing and I’m willing to do what it takes to win. Every rebound must be ours, defense must be played to the best of our ability for the whole possession. Otherwise my personality is very laid back and more on the chill side of things. I’m just someone who tries to get there stuff done without causing problems.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
For high school I play for Hopkins and for AAU I play for Phenom.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve learned how to play within a system and how to play team basketball. I’ve learned how to stay engaged and keep my teammates engaged. I’m always trying to keep my head up and my teammates heads up when a mistake is made so that it doesn’t affect the remainder of the game. Move on to the next play
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
A challenge I’ve faced is playing against Wayzata in the section championship. This is something we have not been able to win for a few years now. Throughout the season we beat Wayzata but as soon as section championship rolls around it’s something we haven’t been able to do for a long time.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that has a great sports program that can help me excel my skills so that I can continue getting better and moving up the ranks of basketball after high school.
