Ohio State legend Eddie George took over as Bowling Green football coach this spring and the Falcons will likely spend a lot of time recruiting central Ohio prospects. Mock is one of the notable commits in the 2026 class as the quarterback has an impressive frame and physical tools and was recruited by programs like Purdue, Charlotte and Buffalo before deciding Bowling Green State University was the place for him.

One of the top quarterbacks in Ohio, Mock made his commitment to Bowling Green earlier this month but I wanted to still show him some love on the hardwood as well. A key piece for Pickerington North, Mock brings toughness, strength, rebounding and spot-up shooting to the table. I would definitely recruit Mock at the small college level if basketball was his first sport but we’re excited to see what he can do on the gridiron at the college level.

Just a day after committing to Bowling Green for football, Mock was getting after it on the hardwood as Pickerington North had a strong two day showing at the Ohio State team camp. I never count the Panthers out when they have guards that want to defend and athletes on the outside and Mock falls into both of those categories. Mock’s physicality was felt as a rebounder and defender and his quarterbacking skills are shown when he whips the ball from one end of the court to the other. One of the top dual sport athletes in central Ohio, I always enjoy watching Mock compete in basketball despite being a football first athlete.

A quarterback prospect with numerous FBS offers, Mock was also named to the all-OCC team on the hardwood and showed why on Saturday with a solid performance. Mock has a good frame and can knock down shots on the perimeter, his strength and athleticism also allows him to make an impact as a defender and rebounder as well.
