A long and lanky athlete, Thompson showed a great motor that made him difficult to keep up with. The rising Glencoe sophomore ran the floor well which led to a number of transition buckets, but his effort on the offensive glass allowed him often multiple chances at putbacks. He was one of the top rebounders at any age division that we watched at the Finale in the Valley and was a shot-blocking threat on defense.
