Ford was maybe the most pleasant surprise of the game as his physical and mental toughness were evident on both ends of the court for Beloit Memorial. The 5-foot-10 combination guard scored 13 points after a rather slow start, and his ability to handle the ball in crowded situations and score with his strength in the lane were big assets for a Beloit Memorial squad that started four guards and one post player.
