Sanders has clearly established himself not only as one of the best guards in Charleston, but in the entire state. He was a huge part of a scholastic month that established Cane Bay as a State Championship contender, and he continued his strong play into July with Big Shots SC and the camp season at The Showcase. With his combination of positional size and high-level playmaking, Jahleel is definitely a 2027 guard to know.

Although he wasn’t named MVP because his team didn’t win it all, I thought Jaleel Sanders was the best player at The Showcase. Sanders simply made productive plays all day long, on both ends of the floor. His positional size took advantage of smaller guards, allowing him to easily score around the rim and shoot over the top of defenses. Look for Jahleel to be a stock riser in the upcoming 2027 Rankings after an excellent summer.

Another South Carolina guard who impacted winning with two-way play is Sanders. Sanders continues to put together a strong, consistent summer for both Cane Bay (SC) and Big Shots SC . You know what you are going to get with him every time; he is going to be impactful defensively, get others involved, and find his shots when needed. I watched the Cobras take on Calvary Christian (FL), and Jahleel took full advantage of weaker ball-handling, forcing lots of turnovers and turning them into points on the other end. He finished with 13 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals in the win.

Another Charleston-area guard rounds out the list. Jahleel runs with Big Shots SC Premier, but despite the loaded backcourt, he definitely ran the show for stretches at the Palmetto State Showcase. Sanders is a balanced offensive weapon, capable of spacing the floor with outside shooting, turning the corner and getting to the rim, or making reads to set up teammates. Jahleel is also a defensive playmaker who gets in passing lanes and helps clean the glass. He finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in a big game one win.

Sanders has carried over his good play from the spring into the June Camp season for the Cobras. Jahleel a certain new name in the next rankings update brings solid production every time out it seems.

The left-handed Sanders was solid in a game here today vs Spartanburg HS. Jahleel seems effortless at times when it comes to scoring the ball. He was able to score the rock from all 3 levels and did it in a very productive way. He doesn’t force shots – but seeks good looks at all times.
