Jacob May showed a great display of shooting throughout his 4 games at the All-N-One Sports Camp this week. He hustled on defense as he got steals, rebounds on both ends of the floor and finding ways to make an impact in each game. With his great display of accuracy shooting the ball he finds other ways to score as well offensively by driving to the basket. If he continues to perform at this level his stock will rise. 

Jacob has been one of the most impressive guards in the Houston 2025 class that I have been keeping my eye on all season and he has progressively gotten better each time I have watched. His dribble penetration to the rim is one of his stronger key offensive components and he consistently draws fouls while calmly knocking down free throws from the foul stripe. May’s court vision is consistent as well to where he always knows where his teammates are on the court and can make no-look passes seem easy.  Jacob’s shooting has also greatly improved to where he can burn the opposition with many long range shots if left open. He recently obtained an offer before last week’s All-N-One camp. Look for his stock to continue to rise!

Jacob was a big time all around player in his teams win over Legacy Prep on the road. May proceeded to hit 7 three pointers throughout the game, making his first 3/3 in the first half. He is also a crafty playmaker, setting up his teammates for easy assists under the rim and on the perimeter.rnMay has a lot of potential left in the tank being only a 2025 guard for the Raiders and already functions on the court as a born leader and team captain. His court vision is what draws my eye to his game and how he sees the floor when facilitating on offense is just already at a whole other level.

He demonstrated deep shooting range, consistently making shots off the catch and executing dribble pull-ups with a solid follow-through. May’s quick first step enabled him to navigate through defenders and tight spaces effectively. In transition, he showcased his ability to pass, run, and score, capitalizing on fast break opportunities. Defensively, May’s competitive spirit was evident, as he applied pressure to ball handlers, displayed excellent anticipation, and quick hands to disrupt plays, and didn’t hesitate to dive for loose balls.
